Plain language, because you shouldn't need a lawyer to read the rules of a place meant to make your head lighter.
Let's Unload, a product of I Love Yu LLC, sorts the thoughts you submit and guides a short calming ritual. One free unload is included for new visitors; continued use requires active paid access. Paid access comes in three forms: a monthly subscription, a one-year plan paid once, or a founding lifetime membership paid once (see Section 3A). Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They are the seller of record, and your receipt and card statement will show "I Love Yu LLC" (or "Lemon Squeezy / I Love Yu LLC").
Upon purchase, I Love Yu LLC grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Let's Unload and your license key on devices you personally own, for your personal, non-commercial use, for as long as your access is active. You may not sell, rent, lend, share, sublicense, or transfer your license key or access; publish or redistribute the service; reverse engineer it; use it to build a competing product; or use automated systems to access it at abusive volume. Keys used in breach may be deactivated without refund.
Three devices. Every plan, whether monthly, one year, or founding lifetime, may be activated on up to three devices at one time. Activating a fourth device requires releasing one of the three first, which you can do yourself at any time from your customer portal, or by writing to hello@letsunload.com. Device activations record only that a device holds a slot; they never contain, and are never linked to, anything you have written.
Gifting. A one-year plan may be purchased for another person. The license is then held by the recipient, on the terms above, and the purchaser gains no rights over the recipient's use or content. Founding lifetime memberships are issued to an individual and are not designed to be transferred; if you need to move one, write to us and we will deal with it case by case.
What you are agreeing to. Let's Unload is $5.99 per month. It is a continuous, automatically renewing subscription: it renews every month at $5.99 and continues until you cancel. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
How to cancel, online, at any time. Because you subscribed online, you can cancel online, immediately, without speaking to anyone and without being asked why. Open the customer portal link in any receipt email from Lemon Squeezy and press cancel, or write to hello@letsunload.com and we will cancel it for you the same day. Canceling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
Lost the link? Email hello@letsunload.com from the address you subscribed with and we will send it back within one business day. We will never make canceling harder than subscribing was. The same number of steps, or fewer.
Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before any price change, and it will only ever apply to renewals after that notice, never to a period you have already paid for.
For California residents. This is an automatic renewal offer under California Business and Professions Code § 17600 et seq. The terms above, namely the recurring charge of $5.99 per month, the fact that it renews until canceled, and how to cancel, are disclosed here and again in the acknowledgment email you receive after subscribing. If you subscribed online you may cancel online, at will, without obstruction.
What it is. The one-year plan is $59.00, charged once, for twelve months of access from the date the key is first activated. It is not a subscription: it does not automatically renew, it does not convert into a recurring charge, and no card is stored for future billing by us.
How it ends. Twelve months after activation, paid access simply stops. We will give you notice inside the app before that happens. Everything already stored on your own device, including your archive, your counters, and your record of what you let go, remains on your device and is not deleted, disabled, or held back by us. What pauses is the sorting of new unloads.
Continuing afterwards is your choice. To keep going you may start a monthly subscription, buy another year, or take a founding lifetime membership if that offer is still open. We will not convert a one-year or gifted plan into a paid subscription automatically. Any continuation is an affirmative act by you.
Gifted years. Where a one-year plan is bought for someone else, the twelve months run from the date the recipient first activates the key, not from the date of purchase. The recipient is the license holder. The purchaser receives a receipt and a key to pass on, and does not receive access to, or information about, the recipient's use of the service.
What it is. The founding lifetime membership is $129.00, charged once. It is limited to the first 10,000 memberships sold, after which the offer closes. There is no renewal and no further charge from us for the membership.
What "lifetime" means, stated precisely. "Lifetime" refers to the operational lifetime of the Let's Unload service, that is, for as long as I Love Yu LLC continues to make Let's Unload generally available. It does not mean, and must not be read as meaning, the lifetime of any individual user, nor a guarantee that the service will operate for any particular length of time. No perpetual, irrevocable, or guaranteed-duration right is granted or implied, and no such promise made anywhere else, whether in marketing copy, email, or otherwise, should be understood to override this paragraph.
If we ever have to stop. I Love Yu LLC is a small company and may discontinue Let's Unload, in whole or in part, for commercial, technical, legal, or other reasons. If we permanently discontinue the service, we will make reasonable efforts to give founding members at least 60 days' advance notice by email to the address on the purchase and by a notice inside the app, and to provide a means of exporting content held on their own devices before access ends. Because we do not store your unloads on our servers (Section 5), what is on your device stays with you regardless.
Refunds on discontinuation. A founding lifetime membership is a one-time purchase, not a prepayment for a defined term, and is not refundable on a pro-rata basis if the service is later discontinued, except where a refund is required by law. Section 4 (Refunds) applies as normal to the initial purchase. Nothing in this paragraph limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited.
What is included. A founding membership covers the Let's Unload service as it exists and as it develops, including features added later, on up to three devices (Section 2). It does not oblige us to build any particular feature, to maintain any particular feature indefinitely, or to provide any separate or future product at no charge.
If something's wrong, email hello@letsunload.com within 14 days of a charge and we'll make it right with a fix, or a refund of that charge. Statutory refund rights in your country are unaffected.
You own what you write. You grant I Love Yu LLC only the transient technical permission needed to process your text through our AI provider and return the result. We do not store your unloads on our servers. Don't submit content that's unlawful or that you lack the right to submit.
The Let's Unload name, logo, design, copy, and code are the intellectual property of I Love Yu LLC. No rights are granted except the license in Section 2.
Let's Unload is a wellness and self-organization tool. It is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, or crisis support, and AI-generated suggestions can be imperfect, so use your own judgment. If you are in distress, contact a qualified professional or a crisis line (988 in the US; findahelpline.com internationally).
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
If we discontinue the service entirely. We will give notice as described below and settle fees as follows, according to what you hold:
Monthly subscribers. Billing stops and any fees paid for a period not yet served are refunded. One-year and gifted plans. The unused portion of the twelve months is refunded on a pro-rata basis. Founding lifetime memberships. These are treated under Section 3B, which sets out our notice commitment and explains that a founding membership is a one-time purchase rather than a prepayment for a defined term, and so is not refunded pro rata, except where a refund is required by law.
In every case we will make reasonable efforts to give at least 60 days' advance notice by email and inside the app, so that you can export anything held on your own devices before access ends.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I Love Yu LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid in the 12 months before the claim, or twenty US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You can stop anytime by canceling a monthly subscription, or by simply letting a one-year plan run out. We may suspend or terminate access for breach (especially Section 2, meaning sharing or reselling keys, exceeding the three device allowance by circumvention, or abusive automated use), with a pro-rata refund unless the breach was wilful. A founding lifetime membership terminated for wilful breach is not refunded.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before anything formal, please email us. Almost everything is solved that way. If it cannot be, the courts of California will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections and the courts of your home country available to you under your local law. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
You need to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to subscribe. Let's Unload is made for adults and is not directed at children. If a younger person uses it with a parent's involvement, the parent accepts these terms on their behalf.
If you answer the "Did this help?" note or email us a suggestion, you allow us to read it, learn from it, and use it to improve Let's Unload, with no obligation or payment to you. We will not publish your name or your email address without asking you first.
Beyond Section 8: the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the sorting will suit every situation. Some places do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
If your misuse of Let's Unload, or your breach of these terms, leads someone else to bring a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending it.
If these terms end for any reason, the sections that by their nature should continue carry on afterwards. Those are your content and our property (5 and 6), disclaimers and liability (9 and 14), indemnity (15), and governing law (11).
Severability. If a court finds part of this unenforceable, the rest still stands.
No waiver. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to.
Assignment. You may not transfer these terms to anyone else. We may, if the business is sold or reorganized, and your rights travel with it, along with the promise that your unloads are never saved.
Events outside our control. We are not liable for failures caused by things we cannot reasonably control.
Entire agreement. This page and the privacy page are the whole agreement between us about Let's Unload.
