Two taps and Let's Unload sits on your home screen like any other app.
No app store. No download. Nothing to update. Let's Unload is a website that behaves like an app, so adding it takes seconds, costs nothing, and uses almost no space on your phone. It opens full-screen, without the browser bars.
It has to be Safari. Chrome on iPhone can't add apps to your home screen.
The square with an arrow pointing up. Bottom of the screen on an iPhone, top on an iPad.
You may need to scroll down a little in that gray menu. The icon is a small square with a plus sign.
Top right corner. That's it. The hammock is now on your home screen.
Or Samsung Internet, or Firefox. Most Android browsers work.
Top right corner of the browser.
The wording depends on your phone. Either one is right.
Done. Look for the hammock with your other apps.
On the right side there's a small install icon: a screen with an arrow, or a plus in a circle.
Let's Unload opens in its own window, with no tabs or address bar.
This is the icon you're looking for on your home screen.
Open it from your home screen and it fills the screen, just like an app you'd download. Your unloads stay on your device, and they always did.
A home-screen app keeps its own copy of the site. If something looks out of date, remove the icon (press and hold → Remove App → Delete from Home Screen) and add it again, which pulls a fresh copy. It only removes the shortcut.
Nothing stored. Nothing tracked. Just yours.
Everything you write stays on this device. We never see it, never keep it, and there is no account attached to you anywhere. The hammock on your home screen opens a space that is entirely your own.

This is the founding price — the lowest Let’s Unload will ever cost. When we come to the App Store and Google Play, Apple and Google take a cut and the price goes up. If you have been thinking about subscribing, here is the right moment.
