No icon? Click the three dots menu, then "Cast, save and share," then "Install page as app."Click "Install"

That's the whole thing.
Open it from your home screen and it fills the screen, just like an app you'd download. Your unloads stay on your device, and they always did.
One thing to know about updates
A home-screen app keeps its own copy of the site. If something looks out of date, remove the icon (press and hold → Remove App → Delete from Home Screen) and add it again, which pulls a fresh copy. It only removes the shortcut.
